Aug 25, 2024 · GNER used to operate 3 North of London class 373 (in absolutely beautiful livery). Is there a known reason why they weren't kept by GNER and just sent back after their 5 year lease expired? Is this purely because of the gauge issues north of Newcastle? I was quite surprised to hear that GNER ran NOL's !

Feb 7, 2019 · Firstly, the 1st northbound service of the day in the morning peak initially had to start at Peterborough rather than King's Cross due to the sheer amount of power they drew. The power supply was later upgraded, rectifying this issue and allowing them to run to 'The Cross'.
