A flood watch was in effect July 7 for several states, including Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Chantal brought heavy rains, flooding, and even a handful of tornadoes into the area. Flooding is still ongoing but is projected to recede in the coming days.
