Congress passed a giant tax bill that includes the Senate's SALT changes that allow rich Americans in high-tax states to save money, experts say.

The GOP Senate version of the "big, beautiful bill" would raise the cost of wind and solar projects by 10% to 20%, one energy group estimated.

With Sens. Rand Paul and Thom Tillis opposed to the package, GOP leaders can afford only one more defection. And multiple Republicans aren't yet sold on the measure.
