Juan Soto made an emotionally charged return to Yankee Stadium on Friday where he was greeted by a cacophony of boos and his new team, the New York Mets, succumbed to a 6-2 loss against his old team,

And with 765 million reasons to prove the wrong choice was made, the Yankees made sure they, and their fanbase, walked away with plenty of smiles as they welcomed Juan Soto back to the Bronx. Soto finished the game scoring one of the New York Mets' only two runs.

Eager to play hero, unlike in his previous at-bats, where his patience paid off, Soto swung at the only two pitches he saw against Yankees closer Luke Weaver. The first, he fouled off, and the second he lined to center field for the third and final out of the game.
