FREMONT, Ohio — A mother and daughter were killed, a 5-year-old child was thrown into the Sandusky River and a 14-month-old was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a train on or near a train bridge in Fremont on Sunday evening, according to Fremont Mayor Danny Sanchez. The incident took place near the Miles Newton Bridge around 7 p.m.
