Police are investigating after a driver crashed into a building south of downtown Colorado Springs overnight. Officers were called to Las Vegas and South Nevada around 4:30 Monday morning, where they found a vehicle rammed into a structure across the street from the Maverik convenience store.

Images of the two cars released by Colorado State Patrol show the trooper’s vehicle with significant front-end damage and the red Toyota with a crumpled passenger’s side.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department said the crash occurred at 860 Wycliffe Drive, just east of Broadmoor Bluffs Drive. CSFD said three people were in the vehicle. Two had minor injuries and one was taken to a hospital. According to CSFD, no one was inside the home during the wreck.
