Tennessee State coach Eddie George will interview for the Chicago Bears’ vacant head coach job Sunday, per FOX Sports. The Bears have cast a wide net in their search to replace Matt Eberflus, as the franchise has already interviewed 16 candidates for the job.

Eddie George, the Tennessee State coach and former Titans running back star, is a longshot for the Bears job. The Bears are familiar with him from his two-week stint with the team as a Bill Walsh Diversity Fellow in May 2023.

George, the former Titans star running back, will be the third candidate to interview in person as Chicago ramps up its search.

A major surprise candidate is set to interview for the Chicago Bears head coach vacancy, FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reported. Tennessee State head coach Eddie George will speak with the franchise Sunday morning.
