ATLANTA — U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff is pressing the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) to ensure timely delivery of prescriptions, medications, and Veterans Affairs (VA) appointment notices to Georgia’s veterans following numerous reports of delays.
Sen. Jon Ossoff says he's heard from Georgia veterans who have been waiting for prescription medication and time-sensitive VA notices that have been delayed in the mail.
The U.S. Postal Service is closing all post office locations and suspending regular mail services on Thursday for the National Day of Mourning honoring Carter.
While USPS mail and deliveries will be delayed, UPS and FedEx pickup and delivery services will continue as usual. Generally, UPS and FedEx office locations remain open as well. Business hours vary by location.
