The Atlanta Falcons interviewed former Chicago Bears head coach and Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus for their defensive coordinator role.

The Atlanta Falcons have now spoken with seven coaches for their defensive coordinator vacancy, interviewing former Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus on Saturday. The 54-year-old was fired midway through the 2024 season after compiling an overall record of 14-32.

The former Chicago Bears head coach is the seventh person to interview virtually for the job after Jimmy Lake was fired after one season.

And it’s especially evident with former head coach Matt Eberflus entering the conversation, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler: “Former Bears head coach Matt Eberflus is involved in the #Bengals defensive coordinator search, per sources.”
