Light snow overspread the area from SW to NE. Several models showed higher accumulation potential for areas along and east of US-1. Snow began around 5 and 6 p.m. and continued around midnight. It wrapped up by 3 a.m. for counties along I-95, and around 4 a.m. in far eastern counties.

On Tuesday at 3:20 a.m. the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC issued a wind advisory. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 40 to 50 mph, particularly at higher elevations, expected for Mitchell and Yancey counties until 3 p.m. this afternoon.
On Monday at 2:44 p.m. the NWS Blacksburg VA issued a wind advisory valid for Tuesday between midnight and 3 p.m. The advisory is for Ashe, Alleghany and Watauga counties.
