McDonald's frequently rotates its Happy Meal toys to feature a variety of collectible toys and keepsakes inspired by popular brands, toys, and upcoming films. These are available for a limited time and rotate every month or so depending on the location.

The Happy Meals also come in one of four Pokémon-themed Happy Meal box designs, featuring Charizard, Pikachu and Dragonite together, Rayquaza and Roaring Moon, McDonald's said. Those who order Happy Meals through the McDonald's app will get added bonuses, the company said, with redeemable codes to unlock digital booster packs and more.

When McDonald’s brought back Pokemon Happy Meals for 2025, it wasn’t just kids rushing to collect trading cards and themed boxes.

The highly anticipated Pokémon Happy Meal 2025 has arrived, offering a nostalgic yet thrilling experience for fans of all ages. Available at McDonald’s locations nationwide starting January 21, this limited-time collaboration celebrates the beloved Pokémon franchise with exclusive collectibles and exciting in-app rewards.

Available until late February, the Pokémon Happy Meals come with a booster pack with four of 15 Pokémon cards and a Pokémon poster with stickers.

Each meal box comes with a Pokémon trading card game booster pack featuring four of 15 collectible trading cards, McDonald’s said in a news release. It also includes a Pokémon poster and a sticker sheet for decorating. Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.
