The New Jersey Devils lost 3-2 in overtime to the New York Rangers, ending a forgettable six-game road trip for New Jersey. While the Devils had flashes of strong play, they were incredibly sloppy and made self-inflicted mistakes in the form of giveaways that ultimately cost them an additional point in the standings.

The Devils fought back in the second period, but their lack of offensive push for the remainder of the game alongside a propensity for turnovers killed the effort.

The New Jersey Devils are back on the East Coast after taking on several West Coast teams on this six-game road trip. They closed out the trip close to home, traveling to the other side of the Hudson River to face off against the New York Rangers.

After falling in overtime to Dallas in their previous game, the Rangers came through with a much-needed 3-2 win in overtime over the Devils.
