The Stars have responded emphatically after losses this year. Another such effort on Saturday would see them into the next round.

Prior to Thursday, Dallas had its way in the series. The Stars won Game 1 (3-2), Game 3 (5-2) and Game 4 (3-1), but both of their losses have been shutouts. In order to knock out Winnipeg for good, the Stars need to figure things out offensively. Dallas is too talented to have such a struggle scoring.

Stars captain Jamie Benn sucker-punched Winnipeg center Mark Scheifele during a late scrum in Game 5. Benn was given a misconduct penalty then, and on Friday was fined by the NHL the maximum-allowed $5,000, but avoided a suspension.
