Jalen Brunson had 39 points and 12 assists, and the New York Knicks moved a win away from their first Eastern Conference finals appearance in 25 years and pushed the defending champion Boston Celtics to the brink of elimination with a 121-113 victory Monday night in Game 4.

Following a crucial Knicks win, much of the focus postgame remained on Celtics star Jayson Tatum after he suffered a right leg injury in the fourth quarter. Tatum was helped off the court by Boston trainers after suffering the injury on a non-contact play, failing to put any weight on his foot.

The Knicks are seeking a Game 4 bounce-back against the Celtics. Boston crushed New York in Game 3, winning 115-93 and reminding everyone that they’re the defending champs. A big trend for the Celtics in Game 3 was their 3-point success as they shot 50 percent after hitting just 25 percent in the first two games.
