The comedian has reportedly received over 500 calls, with some callers threatening to kill him and cut him into pieces.

Mumbai: Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra asked Khar police for a week’s time after the latter issued him a notice Monday night to appear in connection with the FIR lodged against him over his video alluding to state Dy CM Eknath Shinde as “gaddar”.

In the ongoing controversy surrounding stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Tuesday emphasised that the police should take appropriate action against him, adding that Kamra has now realised the consequences of his actions.
