Portland Mayor Keith Wilson is wasting no time to try and deliver on his campaign promise. He unveiled his plan to end unsheltered homelessness in the city.

Wilson's goal is to expand the city’s network of homeless shelters to add 1,500 overnight-only beds by Dec. 1 and open four day centers.

Mayor Keith Wilson has called for 700 managers and supervisors to make a full-time return to their worksites in downtown Portland by April 2025, as part of a strategy to end unsheltered

The move comes after an earlier return-to-office proposal floated by Wilson received pushback, prompting him to backtrack on that plan.
