President Trump signed an executive order aiming to end birthright citizenship for children born in the United States to noncitizen parents. Attorneys general from 22 states filed lawsuits in Massachusetts arguing that the order violates the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Trump stated that he supported H1-B visas for “competent” people not only in the tech industry but also for other jobs such as “high-quality waiters”

H-1B is a non-immigrant visa that allows employers to hire skilled workers from foreign countries to work in the US on a temporary basis. Most tech companies in the US have employed engineers from countries like India who are on H-1B visas.
