The Jenkins Creek and Camp House fires have now charred an area the same size as the city of Minneapolis. That's more than 30,000 acres.

Wildfires are burning through thousands of acres of forest in Northern Minnesota damaging buildings and forcing residents to evacuate their homes. The yet-to-be-contained Camp House fire, Jenkins Creek fire and Munger Shaw fire have a small accomplice to thank for their continued destruction: spruce budworms,

Wildfire tracking service Watch Duty is now estimating the total amount of forest burned by the three major fires in northern Minnesota at more than 35,000 acres. The largest of the three is now the Jenkins Creek Fire, which is at around 20,500 acres, while the Camp House Fire has grown to just under 15,000 acres.
